We drive by car to Vikesland(alt.467 m.) where we see the charcoal
burners' pit. From there we walk up to the Høgsete alpine
pasture farm and on to Joasete Farm. We pass through ancient agricultural
landscape with old pine trees and secretive crevices.
The views of the Aurland Fjord and the surrounding mountains are
magnificent from here. From Joasete we take the critters’
road back down to Vikesland, where we visit Metta’s garden
and taste traditional dishes.
